Hello beautiful humans!  Sorry that it’s been awhile since my last post…I’ve been busy with LIVE!  I was pleasantly surprised when someone pointed out that it had been while since I posted a blog and inspired me to keep at it!  Mmm…maybe I am truly inspiring people!!  🙂

Today is Mother’s Day….such a happy day  me as I have 2 precious healthy & happy little boys!  Maybe its the yogi or Gemini in me that seem to always try and think of others and how they feel in certain moments…or maybe its just the human in me.

As I have enjoyed my morning celebrating the joyous feeling of motherhood…I’ve stumbled upon others that aren’t quite feeling the love today.  Maybe they didn’t grow up with the most loving parents, maybe they have lost their mom, maybe they have lost their child….  The above stories initially made me sad, then after a moment sympathetic and then grateful!  For you never do know what tomorrow is going to bring and you also don’t know how sharing your story will greatly impact or help someone else.  So why not share…share your story?!  Get it off your chest so that it not longer pleages you and might just help inspire someone else in a similar situation for just change the mindset of someone.  So I encourage you here and now…SHARE YOUR STORIES!  In doing this & asking for an ear you might get to see a whole new perspective to your story!!  You might just end up changing your mindset…crazy how this works.  In yoga we call this learning to LET GO OF OLD STORIES.

I will share my story of my path to finding yoga…

My story of finding yoga is a unique one.  I have always loved and lived the many limbs of yoga yet never knew that they were yoga.  I had always believed that yoga was just some slow boring practice that didn’t really do anything for you.  Boy was I so wrong!  My old story about yoga had kept me from ever really trying it.  When I was young I was always very active…still am!  I taught boot camps, cycling, strength classes, ran many 1/2 marathons, tried a spring tri and bike/run of a full tri, biked on Ragbrai…  So as you can see I love pushing myself out of my comfort zone.  It wasn’t until one day I found myself in some very stressful situations like my dad dying & my 10 yr marriage falling apart that I even considered giving yoga a try to de-stress.  I did find that it de-stressed me but I found so much more!  I found that is eased my back pain, helped me build strength physically, increased my flexibility and most importantly it opened my mind!  This is how I began to fall in love with yoga.  For it was not just some boring physical practice that I later learned was called asana….only 1 of the 8 limbs of yoga.  But there are all kinds of yoga out there!  My first encounter was with Heated Power Yoga….it was an awesome bridge for me as it was challenging and taxing on my body.  What it offered more than other kinda of exercise is it worked on my mindset!  Through mantas, intentions and sharing of lessons (AKA others stories) I slowly started to look at life differentl
